Our commitment

JemJem.com, Inc. is committed to making our website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We want every customer to be able to browse, compare and buy refurbished Apple products on jemjem.com regardless of how they access the web.

Conformance standard

We are working to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines are the recognised international standard for making web content accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive and neurological disabilities.

What we have done

  • Reviewed and corrected the underlying HTML, CSS and templates of our storefront rather than relying on an accessibility overlay or widget.
  • Ensured every page can be zoomed and resized without loss of content or function.
  • Given every image, link, button and form field a meaningful, programmatically available name.
  • Provided a visible keyboard focus indicator and a “skip to content” link on every page.
  • Checked text and interface colours against the WCAG 2.2 AA contrast thresholds.
  • Removed off-screen carousel content from the keyboard tab order so keyboard and screen reader users follow the same path.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. We run automated accessibility testing against our key pages on a recurring basis, and we periodically commission manual testing with assistive technology, including screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver. Where we find barriers, we log them and fix them at the source.

Third-party content

Some parts of our site rely on third-party services, including our checkout, payment providers and financing partners. We do not control the code of these services, but we choose partners who publish their own accessibility commitments, and we raise barriers with them when we find them.

Known limitations

We are aware that some third-party embedded content and some older blog articles may not yet fully meet our target standard. These are on our remediation list.

Tell us about a barrier

If you encounter any difficulty using jemjem.com, or if you need information from our site in a different format, please contact us. We take every report seriously and will work with you to give you the information or complete the transaction you need.

Please tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser you were using, so we can reproduce and fix the problem. We aim to respond to accessibility enquiries within 3 business days.
